40th Annual NAPBIRT Conference
April 8-11, 2016

First Timers Mentoring Experience

Ellen FIllion and Matt Simianer would like to invite you to participate in the "First Timers Mentoring Experience" at the 40th Annual NAPBIRT Conference in Washington, DC.

The goal of mentoring is to integrate first time attendees with many members over the 4-day conference period and create a bond between them. This bond is what keeps technicians coming back each year and this mentoring experience brings us one step closer towards retention within the membership. There is no criterion such as age, experience or how many years you have been a NAPBIRT member. We are looking for a good mix to help make this a comfortable and not so scary experience for our 1st time attendees.

A mentor is someone who can:
  • Get to know the first timer and help with clinic selection.
  • Introduce them to other members and encourage networking.
  • Encourage the first time attendee to ask questions during a clinic or social setting.
  • Be available for questions during the conference.

Immediately following the Friday Night Dinner, there will be a First Timers Meeting. After introducing the Board of Directors and a brief description of what to expect over the next few days, each "First Timer" will be paired with a mentor.

If you are interested or have any questions, contact via e-mail:

      Matt Simianer: director-6@napbirt.org

Please do not contact the NAPBIRT office as the folks there are busy preparing for the conference. Ellen or Matt will be able to answer any questions or concerns.
