Florida, here we come…

I am looking forward to having the Sunshine State host our 34th Annual NAPBIRT Conference. My search for a location for this conference began in 2007 and Tampa offered us a great proposal which was followed by a visit to the Hyatt Regency Tampa. This was my first trip to Tampa and this part of Florida and I was pleased with my findings. Tampa is rich with heritage, architecture and history. The city was undergoing several capital improvements to its highways, airport and other building projects in preparation to host the Super Bowl in 2009. What amazed me was how well everything worked even while under construction. Well all of that is complete and Tampa is now ready to host NAPBIRT.

Our conference home will be the Hyatt Regency Tampa ideally located in the heart of the city. Our downtown hotel places you within minutes of Ybor City, Florida Aquarium and Busch Gardens. Stroll to Channelside shopping, or take a trolley car to the museums or the zoo. You may also want to check out some of the golf courses and beaches close to our luxury hotel in downtown Tampa, or cheer for the Tampa Yankees at Steinbrenner Field.

The Hyatt Regency Tampa has recently completed an $11 million dollar makeover with a full renovation of guest rooms, corridors, and elevators.  All 521 guest rooms have been enhanced with contemporary furnishings and modern amenities including the signature Hyatt Grand Bed™, 32-inch LCD flat-screen televisions, iHome™ clock radios, expanded work stations with oversized desks and T-Mobile® wireless internet access.

Once again we will bring you the premiere instrument repair training event of the year. With 13 hours of formal clinic presentations, 17.5 hours of exhibit hall time and nearly 90 potential hours of networking, sharing and learning from your fellow NAPBIRT members. If time is money, this is the best investment in education you can make this year.

Features of the conference will be our 3rd State of the Industry Forum focusing on Industry Suppliers. We are once again having the NAPBIRT Garage Sale where you can sell and trade your items and this year we will host the Dirtiest Apron Contest.
